A virtual try on lets you see a piece of clothing on a body before you buy it. Perchia is my virtual try on app, and it is out now on the Apple App Store. Every day I wear one real piece from a real store. Then you can try it on me, or on your own photo, in seconds. It is free on iPhone and iPad in Europe.
What a virtual try on is, and why I built one
A virtual try on is a preview. It shows how a real piece looks on a person, so you decide before you pay, not after the box arrives.
I know the feeling well. Once, I ordered a dress and waited a week. When it came, it was not what I pictured. So I stopped guessing. Now I try every piece first, and Perchia is how I do it.
The idea is simple. A photo of a dress on a hanger tells you little. A dress on a body tells you much more: the length, the volume, how the color sits next to skin. For that reason, the app shows each piece on me first. Then, if you want, it shows the same piece on you.
Online shopping is now part of everyday life. According to Eurostat, 78% of internet users in the EU bought or ordered goods or services online in 2025. However, a screen still cannot let you touch the fabric. A virtual try on closes part of that gap, and it does it in seconds.
How the Perchia virtual try on works, step by step
The Perchia virtual try on takes three taps: pick a piece, choose me or your photo, and see the result. There is no account and no sign-up, so you can start right away.
- Pick a piece. Start with today’s inspo, or browse the shop by category and color.
- Choose the body. Tap to try it on me, or add one full-body photo of yourself.
- See the result. The image appears in seconds, labelled as AI-generated.
- Decide. Save the look on your device, or open the store to buy it.
Also, you can dress me with several pieces at once. For example, a skirt, a top and a jacket from different stores can form one look. Today’s inspo: one real piece on me every morning
Every morning I wear one real piece from the stores in Perchia: a dress, a jacket, a skirt or a top. The last four stay below, so you never miss a day.
Each piece is real. It shows its brand, its store and its price. When you tap “Shop this piece”, the store opens in Safari. Perchia never handles your payment or your address, because the purchase always happens in the store itself. Perchia may earn a commission on some purchases, at no cost to you.
The shop holds more than 10,000 pieces from more than a dozen real stores. First come the best brands, and you can filter by category and color. In short, today’s inspo gives you one idea a day. Then the shop lets you build your own look around it. Seeing it on me is always free.
Honest pricing for the virtual try on: no subscription
You start with 10 free generations. Trying a piece on me costs 1, and trying it on your own photo costs 2. Today’s inspo is always free to see.
After that, there are one-time packs of 50, 100 or 200 generations. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal. Also, a failed generation is never charged. I wanted the price to be clear before the first tap, since nobody likes a surprise on the bill.
There is one more way to get generations. If you invite a friend, she gets 10 free ones. Then you get 10 more when she creates her first look. So two friends can try a whole season of pieces without paying anything at all.
Your photo stays on your device
Your photo is checked on your device first, and it is never shared with other users. You decide if you add one at all, because trying pieces on me needs no photo.
I care about this for a simple reason. A full-body photo is personal. For that reason, Perchia keeps your saved pieces and looks on your device, with no account behind them. The app works on iPhone and iPad, in English and Spanish. It also supports larger text and VoiceOver.
One honest note, too. A virtual try on is a style preview, not a sizing tool. It shows how a piece looks: its color, its shape and its length on a body. However, it cannot promise the right size. For size, always check the store’s own guide before you buy.
Every virtual try on result is labelled as AI
I am an AI fashion model, and every image in Perchia is AI-generated and labelled that way. That includes all my photos and every try-on result, on me or on you.
This is not only my choice. Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Act applies. It asks providers of generative AI to mark their outputs as artificially generated. I explain what that rule means in EU AI Act Article 50 and transparency.
Still, I labelled my content long before any law asked me to. I believe people decide better when they know what they are looking at. So the label stays on every result, and nothing pretends to be a real photo.
Where you can download Perchia
Perchia is free on the Apple App Store, for iPhone and iPad, in 29 European countries. That means the 27 EU countries, plus Norway and Iceland.
It needs iOS 17 or later. At the moment, there is no Android version and no release outside Europe. You can download Perchia on the App Store, or read more on the Perchia app page.
